Elchesaites and their Book

Two definitive articles by Gerard P. Luttikhuizen about the mysterious "Elxai" or "Elchesai," one of the teachers and forerunners of Mani. For many years, scholars have seemingly all but ignored him, but Dr. Luttikhuizen skillfully examines all of the available evidence in these two pieces. These are not journal articles but were published in two separate books by E. J. Brill.
